Rumors of Blackpink featuring in Taylor Swift’s album are causing a stir.
Recently, on Twitter, many personal fan accounts and Blackpink fan communities shared information that Blackpink may feature in Taylor Swift’s album “Reputation (Taylor’s Version)”, to be released in November.
This rumor quickly spread and received great attention.
Recently, Blackpink members and Taylor Swift have been constantly having close interactions.
In early March, Lisa attended Taylor Swift’s concert in Singapore, as part of her global tour The Eras Tour.
Lisa then shared a series of moments from the show on Instagram. She and many of Taylor’s fans exchanged “friendship bracelets” and even took photos with Taylor backstage.
At the end of April, Taylor Swift suddenly sent Rosé a gift, which was the album “The Tortured Poets Department” that Taylor had just released.
Along with the album, Taylor Swift wrote a handwritten letter to Rosé: “To my members of The Tortured Poets Department. This is my little token of gratitude to you, for your support, sincerely. I hope you will welcome this album into your life. With all my love, and tortured poetry. Your friend, Taylor.”
Previously, Rosé attended Taylor’s The Eras Tour concert in Tokyo, Japan. She was seated in the special guest seat.
Last September, during a business trip to New York (USA), Rosé was spotted leaving Electric Lady Studios at the same time as Taylor Swift. International media revealed that this was a party to launch and listen to Taylor Swift’s new album, with the participation of Rosé and some artists close to the female singer.
Rumors of Blackpink featuring on Taylor’s album have not been confirmed. However, it has fans extremely excited.
“Reputation (Taylor’s Version)” is a re-recorded version of the American artist’s 2017 sixth studio album “Reputation”.
Following a copyright dispute with businessman and producer Scooter Braun in 2019, Taylor Swift lost ownership of the recordings of all six of her first albums under Big Machine Records.
Unsuccessful in buying back her own recordings, Taylor decided to re-record the entire “stolen” album. From 2021 to now, the singer has released new versions of 4 albums including: “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)”, “Red (Taylor’s Version)”, “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)”, “1989 (Taylor’s Version)”.
The next album scheduled to be released later this year is “Reputation (Taylor’s Version)”.
In these albums, in addition to re-recording and remastering old songs, Taylor Swift also added some new songs and collaborated with other artists. So it is possible that Blackpink will feature in Taylor’s album.
