Wembley Stadium – the London stop of The Eras Tour recently gave Taylor Swift a very special gift. It is known that this gift is to honor the record that Taylor Swift created as the first solo artist to have 8 sold-out concerts in a non-consecutive tour at Wembley Stadium.
Specifically, Wembley Stadium sent Taylor Swift a turquoise guitar to replace the medallion, with many special details. On the body of the guitar are printed the words “So Long, Taylor”, “It’s been a Wembley love story” (written based on the hit Love Story on the female singer’s album Fearless ).
Next, around the sound hole of the guitar are printed the dates of Taylor Swift’s eight concerts at Wembley Stadium (June 21-23 and August 15-20, 2024). In addition, the two guitar picks are also printed with the words “Wembley Taylor” and “The Eras Tour Wembley London 2024”. Finally, there is a thank you letter to Taylor Swift.
In a post on Wembley’s official Instagram page, a guitar honoring Taylor Swift can be seen proudly placed in front of the stadium to mark the record the 1989 singer just created.
Wembley Stadium’s social media accounts included the caption: “To celebrate being the first solo artist to perform at Wembley Stadium eight times on one tour, we’ve gifted Taylor Swift her very own personalised Wembley guitar. Bye Taylor. It’s mesmerising.”
Taylor Swift’s Wembley Stadium shows not only had a staggering impact on the UK economy, but she also set a record for the largest attendance by a solo international artist at a single venue this decade, with 725,900 spectators across eight non-consecutive shows.
