The Adidas Mahomes 1.0 Impact FLX training shoe, designed with input from the Kansas City Chiefs head coach, is scheduled to debut early the following week. The Three Stripes claimed that in order to design the shoe, they analyzed the quarterback’s foot movements and “innovative game and style of play” to determine where he required the most traction and support. The shoe is “founded in cleat movements and optimized for turf,” as stated by Adidas.
“Go Time,” the inaugural colorway, is primarily constructed in solar green to symbolize a green traffic light—a reference to the vigor Mahomes brings to the field and to training.
