Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes were filled with awe and excitement as they laid eyes on the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl LVIII rings for the very first time. The duo was visibly jubilant as they opened personalized boxes containing these magnificent pieces of jewelry during a ceremony held in Kansas City on Thursday night.
Both the quarterback and the tight end proudly displayed their new rings, holding up the trio of championship rings to the camera. Each ring, crafted by Jostens, boasts an impressive array of 529 diamonds: 505 round diamonds, 19 baguette diamonds, and five marquise diamonds, adorned further with 38 rubies in the team’s distinctive colors.
Beyond their stunning appearance, these rings symbolize the Chiefs’ hard-fought victories and the team’s enduring legacy. They serve as tangible reminders of triumph and perseverance, reflecting the dedication and teamwork that propelled the Chiefs to their Super Bowl victories. This year’s ring, which was made by Jostens, contains 529 diamonds apiece
The pair quickly added the new piece of lavish jewelry to the collection on their hands
The team explained that there’s plenty of symbolism, starting with the interlocking arrowhead logo made from 16 custom-cut rubies to represent the 16 division titles in franchise history.
The word ‘world’ features 39 diamonds to represent the number of touchdowns the team scored last season, while the corresponding word ‘champions’ contains 70 diamonds to represent the points scored in the Chiefs’ three AFC playoff wins.
The underside of the ring also features a diagram of the game-winning play that saw the Chiefs defeat the San Francisco 49ers in overtime back in February.
‘Earning back-to-back Super Bowl championships is an incredibly difficult and rare feat. It helps define legacies for franchises, coaches, players, and is a testament to the commitment and dedication that is required from everyone in the organization,’ Chiefs President Mark Donovan said.
‘This incredible piece of wearable art is a true symbol of the journey that the team took to secure the franchise’s fourth Lombardi Trophy, and we couldn’t be prouder to represent Chiefs Kingdom as champions once again,’ he added.
Kelce arrived at the ceremony looking red hot, opting for a bold all-red ensemble.

When asked what inspired the ensemble, the athlete responded, ‘Chiefs Kingdom, 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦,’ per reporter Matt Derrick.
Fans would be forgiven for thinking Kelce may have taken a page out of his girlfriend Taylor Swift‘s book, who became synonymous with the color red after dropping an album of the same name in 2012.
Meanwhile, Mahomes opted for a black suit jacket, which was bedazzled with black stones.
He also accessorized with a stack of silver necklaces and a matching chain bracelet.
Just hours before things got underway, Kelce built anticipation for the new piece of jewelry in a teaser video shared by the Chiefs on social media.
The Catching Kelce alum was seen holding three fingers in the air – to mark the third Super Bowl win of his career – while pointing to his ring finger.
Whether intentional or not, Swift’s legion of fans thought the clip was a cheeky nod to engagement rumors swirling around the couple.
