Rui Hachimura of the L.A. Lakers Acquires a Magnificent $7.25 Million Encino Mansion

Rui Hachimura, a forward with the Los Angeles Lakers, has made a large real estate investment in Encino, California.

The baller, who is Japanese, just spent $7,250,000 on a contemporary mansion that is more than 7,300 square feet, has six bedrooms, and 6.5 bathrooms.

Luckily, Hachimura signed a three-year, $51 million contract with the Lakers last summer, so he has extra cash to spend. Here are a few photos of his new residence, which is located roughly 20 miles east of Los Angeles.

According to the selling details, this brand-new home is described as a modern farmhouse, but based on the few images we’ve seen, it looks to be more contemporary than rustic.

With a black front and lots of glass to let in the Southern California sunshine, the design is simple and uncluttered.

Exquisite materials such as Douglas fir, white oak, natural stone, and glass and metal finishes were used throughout. There’s a personal gym, screening room, office, home bar, and superluxurious kitchen with two islands and butler’s pantry.

Elegant features including a sizable balcony, walk-in closets, a massive double shower, and a soaking tub can be found in the master suite.

The secluded garden, which features olive and cypress trees, of course has a pool.

A Jacuzzi, cabana, outdoor kitchen, fire pit, and lounging areas are also included on the exterior. Additionally, an ADU (accessory dwelling unit) with a separate living room and kitchenette is included with the house.

Hachimura, who joined the Washingtоn Wizards in 2019, is the first Japanese national to ever be selected in the first round of the NBA draft. He was the Julius Erving Small Forward of the Year winner in his debut season. In January 2023, following four seasons with the Wizards, Hachimura was traded to the Lakers.
