Stephen Curry has just made a move to attract attention from the Golden State Warriors by removing the name of his home team from the description on his personal page. Instead, he added a line mentioning the gold medal he just won at the 2024 Paris Olympics with the US team.
Faced with the uncertain situation of “staying or leaving”, Curry’s action has attracted attention in the NBA fan community in general and the Golden State Warriors in particular.
Stephen Curry has spent his entire career with the “golden gate” team since being chosen by the Golden State Warriors in the 2009 NBA Draft with the 7th pick.
To date, he has been with Golden State for 15 consecutive seasons, a number that makes Curry the longest-serving player in the NBA at the moment.
The person who came second to Curry was none other than his former teammate Klay Thompson (13 years). However, this shooter said goodbye to the Warriors to join the Dallas Mavericks last summer.
Led by Stephen Curry, the Golden State Warriors created a powerful empire in the NBA with 5 consecutive years of participation in the Finals series (from 2015 to 2019), then returned to this final series again in 2022.
A total of 4 championship trophies have been won by Curry and his teammates (2015, 2017, 2018 and 2022). In the 2021-22 season alone, the “chef” was honored to receive the NBA Finals MVP title for the first time when scoring an average of 31.2 points/game against the Boston Celtics.
Once so magnificent, the good days of Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors seem to be gone.
The Warriors’ most recent season ended in April because they failed to make the Playoffs, something Curry has rarely experienced in his career, even though he scored 26.4 points with 40.8% 3PT in the Regular Season, not to mention the Clutch Player of The Year title.
Add in the fact that Klay Thompson is gone, and no one knows if Stephen is still interested in staying with the Golden State Warriors long-term.
