The information was confirmed when “country music princess” Taylor Swift posted a request on her own website that ticketless audiences would be banned from gathering outside Wembley Stadium during her upcoming five-night show in London, after her stop in Vienna, Austria, was cancelled.
On the regulatory side, a spokesperson for the London Police Department told USA Today : “There is nothing to suggest that the matters being investigated by Austrian authorities will affect upcoming events in London.”
Wembley Stadium also issued a statement saying “no one will be permitted to stand outside any entrances or on the Olympic Steps at the front of the stadium”, while fans without tickets will be asked to move away from the immediate area. Camping will also be banned at the stadium.
In addition, according to information from the organizers, the audience who bought tickets will be able to enter the stadium earlier than usual, and the entrance time will be 3:30 local time for all 5 days of the show, starting on August 15. Opening artists including Raye, Paramore and Suki Waterhouse are expected to take the stage earlier than scheduled.
Taylor Swift has yet to make a decision on whether to perform more shows in Vienna, after two teenagers were detained in a suspected ISIS-linked terror plot.
According to international reports, the suspects arrested include a 19-year-old who has pledged allegiance to ISIS and is currently living with his parents in the town of Ternitz; a 17-year-old. Both were arrested after police raided the 19-year-old’s home and found a variety of chemicals and documents belonging to the so-called “Islamic State and al-Qaeda” in the 17-year-old’s home.
Omar Haijawi-Pirchner, head of the Vienna State Security and Intelligence Service, said the 19-year-old had confessed to wanting to “kill as many people as possible outside the concert venue”.
