Deadpool & Wolverine has continuously conquered many box office milestones after a few days in theaters. One of the reasons why the superhero blockbuster attracts a large audience is the appearance of a quality cameo cast. Among them, the prominent names include Henry Cavill (Wolverine), Chris Evans (Human Torch), Jennifer Garner (Elektra) or Channing Tatum (Gambit)…
However, some viewers expressed regret that Taylor Swift did not appear in the film as many had previously speculated. Before Deadpool & Wolverine hit theaters, there was a lot of information that the female singer would have a cameo in the film, possibly as Ali Blaire (aka Dazzler) or Ladypool.
Sharing with Entertainment Weekly, director Shawn Levy hopes that the female singer’s fans will not be disappointed when their idol does not appear. “There were times when I felt worried that I would disappoint people, when they realized Taylor was not in the movie. But there is no way to control the internet, and rumors spread rapidly,” the male director confided.
Shawn Levy said that both he and Ryan Reynolds’ family (the male lead of Deadpool) have a close relationship with Taylor Swift in real life. However, no one has ever mentioned or discussed having the singer have a cameo in the film.

After Taylor Swift wrapped up her Eras Tour, many fans believed she would appear in Deadpool & Wolverine as Dazzler, a superhero whose voice can turn sound vibrations into light and energy beams. However, the character ultimately did not appear in the film.
The role of Ladypool is actually played by Blake Lively, wife of male lead Ryan Reynolds.
After about 10 days of release, Deadpool & Wolverine has grossed more than $824 million worldwide, including nearly $400 million domestically. At its current pace, the MCU blockbuster is expected to hit the $1 billion mark this weekend, becoming the second film in 2024 to reach this box office milestone after Inside Out 2.
